Confidence in Every Mile: Hyundai's Legacy
Established in 1967, Hyundai Motor Company became the third-largest auto manufacturer in the world in 2022. Today, Hyundai's compact vehicles, sedans, SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles), crossovers, electric vehicles (EV), and hybrids grace many driveways and roads worldwide.
At Exhaust Plus - Complete Auto Repair, we specialize in providing all maintenance services for your Hyundai vehicle, regardless of make or model.
Hyundai History
Hyundai's first-ever vehicle model was the Cortina, released in 1968. By 1975, Hyundai worked with renowned British engineers to develop the Pony, their first in-house production vehicle.
By 1984, Hyundai had started exporting this model to Canada, where it became the top-selling vehicle. Just a year later, Hyundai reached its one millionth manufacturing mark.
Given its success, Hyundai started to expand globally, entering the U.S. in 1986. Two years later, Hyundai introduced the Sonata, a vehicle with the company's unique automotive technology. By 1991, Hyundai was producing all technological elements on its own.
However, the actual Hyundai transformation occurred in 1998, when the manufacturer decided to rebrand itself. The rebranding included heavy investments in the Hyundai design philosophy and quality. Coupled with global marketing campaigns and extended warranties for vehicles, the strategy paid off.
Hyundai Models
In the past few decades, Hyundai has manufactured multiple vehicle models. Exhaust Plus - Complete Auto Repair provides repair and maintenance services for the models, including but not limited to:
Hyundai Sonata: The Sonata is a flagship sedan model that has been in production since 1985. Currently, the vehicle is manufactured in Pakistan, China, and Korea as a front-engine, four-wheel drive.
Hyundai Elantra: The Elantra was first produced in 1990 and is a compact sedan model. It is currently in its seventh generation and is also called Avante and Lantra.
Hyundai Tucson: The Tucson is a crossover SUV model that was first launched in 2004. Since its introduction in the market, Hyundai has sold seven million units globally.
Hyundai Accent: The Accent is a subcompact sedan model that has been sold under different names worldwide. In 2008, JD Power and Associates titled it the ''most dependable subcompact car.''
Hyundai Santa Fe: One of Hyundai's newest vehicles, the Santa Fe is a crossover SUV that has undergone several generational changes since its launch in 2000. The 2023 version features plug-in hybrid powertrains and five trim options.
Hyundai Routine Maintenance
The engineers at Hyundai have come up with a maintenance schedule to ensure their vehicles' optimal performance and fuel efficiency. At the 3,000-mile or three-month mark, the vehicle's engine oil and filter should be changed. After driving 7,500 miles (or six months), replace the engine oil again. Also, at this point, brake inspection, tire rotation, and throttle chamber inspection are mandatory.
The technicians at Exhaust Plus - Complete Auto Repair know what to check for at every phase of routine maintenance to keep your vehicle in excellent working condition. They examine everything from the fluid levels to the engine belts to catch any issue before it becomes a major problem.
